Freshwater 2001 4788 since new that's never been further South than St. Louis Mo. or East of Lake Michigan. Owner paid $400k for this yacht several years ago because of this provenance. He's doted on this boat. She's lived in a boathouse on Kentucky Lake up until 2009 when she was taken to Chicago to hopefully facilitate a sale to a Canadian buyer. She's easy to take East, North or South on her bottom. The 2001 4788's is the only year 4788 with the light colored counter tops which makes her interior much brighter than the dark one's standard in the other model years.
Only 400 hours on her 370 HP diesel engines. 12.5kw Genset w/525 hours, 3 Marine AC's w/reverse cycle heat plus electric base board heaters, washer/dryer, central vac, NEW flatscreen TV, Bimini top, NEW LCD lights, new Sunshades for salon. Etc. CLEAN.
She's stored out of the water, shrink wrapped for the winter. Come Spring I'll be visiting the vessel to pre-survey her and take even more new detailed photos. Just for reference of freshwater value- the last 2001 4788 I sold off the Great Lakes sold for $365k and she had 330hp Cummins. Granted this was in 06 and she only had 165 hours at THAT time, but today in 2010 that same vessel is firmly priced at $299k and is now located in San Diego with the same hours as this one. Granted she is an EXCEPTIONALLY NICE 2001 but San Diego isn't Lake Michigan is it? The "Carpe Diem" has NEVER seen salt water and is only asking $279k and has the 370's which was a $10k dealer cost option which was $18k retail. Easy to run on her bottom North, East and South.
My Canadian and Great Lakes clients should put this yacht on their short list for the spring time. No disappointments. I guarantee you she's going to sell quickly. FRESHWATER USE ONLY. Short season since NEW. How can you go wrong? Seller say's "Ok Mr. Pilothouseking SELL MY YACHT". |
